Boxout.fm invited me to a be a part of “Indie as Fuck” a 24 hour showcase of Indian independent music on Independence Day. Here is one of the shows I put together

Bombay Hardcore is a movement that has been coming together over the past couple years. It is collective of hardcore punk bands based in Bombay. For this show I spoke to a couple of bands – Riot Peddlers & Pacifist and played tracks by a couple others – Death by Fungi & False Flag.

The Riot Peddlers are a 3 piece hardcore punk act. Formed in 2009, they are the first hardcore bands from India that I heard. The band have released 2 EPs, Sarkarsm and more recently Strength in Dumbers

Pacifist are a 5 piece post hardcore act. They have built a reputation in the past couple of years for their electric live act and also smashing debut release Greyscale Dreams

Track list

The Riot Peddlers – Sau Rupaiya
The Riot Peddlers – Untitled
Pacifist – Pedigreed
Death by Fungi – Black Lung
False Flag – Counterfeit
Death by Fungi – Die in Bombay
