Last week was a BIG one at Horns Up, we released 2 new episodes.

The first one is an in-depth conversation with Rotting Christ‘s founder and frontman Sakis Tolis delves deep into the creation process of the band’s fourteenth album Heretics, the decision to interpret and put their own spin on Edgar Allan Poe’s literary classic, ‘The Raven’, and the ever-evolving journey of the Greek Black Metal stalwarts since the band’s birth in 1987.

Sakis also reveals what it’s like to be in a band with his brother, and why India holds a special place in their lives.

The next one features Jason Netherton, the founder, bassist, vocalist and lyricist for American Death Metal act Misery Index. Jason talks about his journey to death metal and Misery Index, the band’s latest album Rituals of Power, and discuss why he thinks death metal is an ideal vehicle to communicate ideologies, opinions, and more.

We also discuss one of the recent news pieces in the metal sphere, the racist comments on Facebook by Former Agalloch and current Pillorian member John Haughm
